In 2018, more than 65,000 high school students took the Advanced Placement Computer Science A exam. This exam tested their knowledge of problem solving and object-oriented programming in Java via multiple choice and free response questions. Understanding the process by which these exams are graded and the assessment methods used by the graders is a huge advantage to students, who too often are under prepared for a written test of coding skill.
