NetsBlox (https://netsblox.org) is an open-source, networked, visual programming environment based on Snap! that was specifically designed to introduce students to distributed computation and computer networking. The latest addition to NetsBlox, a service called RoboScape relies on WiFi-enabled robots. Each robot has a fixed program that accepts commands transmitted wirelessly and can send back sensor readings over WiFi as well.
