In this session, CS4All NYC educators discuss their experiences in Exploring Equity in CS affinity groups, where they reflected on their own whiteness and roles as co-conspirators in social justice work within computer science classrooms. We will offer strategies to unpack our own identities (specifically whiteness) and evaluate the role those identities play in instructional design, teaching practices, and classroom culture.
