Unequal participation in K-12 CS education across North America is all too familiar a story: White and Asian boys dominate, while most other students of color avoid CS. But why? In this talk, we discuss the many layers of inequities that create this unequal participation, ranging classroom and school inequities, to inequities in communities and state and federal policy.
